OurCrowd Raising $100M Pandemic Fund

OurCrowd has launched a Pandemic Innovation Fund to raise $100 million for pandemic solutions. Investments will focus on vaccines, diagnostics, digital health and distance learning.

The firm currently backs several businesses tackling the coronavirus crisis according to their AngelList profile.

“Venture capital has been the most esoteric, the most exclusive investment activity a the world,”

OurCrowd CEO Jon Medved in 2019

OurCrowd’s broader aim is to disrupt traditional venture funding by providing individual investors from around the world access to startup investments traditionally reserved for VC firms.

Launched in February 2013, OurCrowd is Israel’s most active venture investor. They are based in Jerusalem, with overseas branches in the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
